Delete data
1. Introduction
At Klantly, we place great importance on your privacy and your control over your personal data. On this page, we explain how you can have your data deleted if you have been in contact with a company that uses Klantly.
2. Who is responsible for your data?
When you submit a request via a form, quotation, chat or WhatsApp, your data is processed by the relevant company (the “service provider”).
- The service provider is the data controller
- Klantly acts as the data processor and facilitates the platform
This means that the service provider is responsible for deleting your data.
3. How can you have your data deleted?
Option 1 — Contact the service provider
The quickest way to have your data deleted is to contact the company to which you submitted your request directly.
For example, you can ask for:
- the deletion of your contact details
- deletion of quotations or enquiries
- deletion of correspondence (email or WhatsApp)
Option 2 — Submit a request via Klantly
If you are unable to contact the company or cannot remember which company you were in contact with, you can submit a request via Klantly.
Send an email to:
info@Klantly.com
Please include the following:
- your name
- your email address and/or telephone number
- a brief description of your request
- (if possible) the name of the company
We’ll help you direct your enquiry to the right person.
4. What happens after you submit your request?
Once we have received your request:
- your request will be forwarded to the relevant service provider
- an assessment will be made as to whether your data can be deleted
- you will receive confirmation once the data has been deleted
The service provider will process your request within the statutory time limit.
5. Deletion of communications via WhatsApp
If you have been in contact via WhatsApp:
- you can also delete the conversation yourself on WhatsApp
- the service provider may delete your data from its systems
- messages may be retained temporarily, subject to legal obligations
6. Legal exceptions
In some cases, data cannot be completely deleted immediately, for example when:
- there is a legal obligation to retain data (such as for record-keeping purposes)
- data is required for an ongoing contract
- there is a legitimate interest
In such cases, your data will be used to a limited extent and deleted as soon as possible once this is permitted.
7. Security and processing by Klantly
Klantly processes data exclusively on behalf of the data controller and will:
- not delete any data without instructions from the data controller
- implement appropriate security measures
- carefully forward requests to the correct party
