Configurator
Image guidelines
Image rules#
Image rules ensure that product photos update in line with the customer’s choices. For example, if the customer selects anthracite instead of white, the configurator automatically displays the corresponding photo.
Open image rules#
- Open the form in the builder
- Click on Settings
- Click on Image Rules (with a counter showing the number of rules)
You’ll see three tabs: Preview, Layers and Filters.
Link an image to a choice (Preview)#
- Expand the desired option
- Click on + Option to add a rule for one specific value, or select ‘All options’ to set up a rule for every value in one go
- Click on the thumbnail to select or upload an image
- Optionally, add a condition: show this image only if another option has a specific value
Using layers#
With layers, you can stack multiple images on top of each other to create a single composite preview, for example a base image with a layer for the chosen colour on top.
Using filters#
Filters allow you to hide or show certain options depending on another selection made by the customer.
Warnings in the editor#
The editor will alert you if a filter value has no corresponding image in the layers, or if a layer has been left without an image.
Frequently asked questions#
Is this the same as conditional options?
No, conditional options determine whether an option is visible. Image rules determine which photo is displayed. However, both can respond to the same underlying choice.
